Wanderburg System Requirements
The Steam minimums, plus what demo players actually reported.
This page copies the public Steam specification for Wanderburg and then adds the caveats that marketing slogans skip. It is not a promise that your office laptop will match a trailer. Early Access is scheduled for 8 September 2026; specs can still move. If Steam and this table disagree, Steam wins.
Pair this with controls if you are choosing between mouse, keyboard, and a Deck-class handheld, and with Early Access for the date.
Minimum (Steam)
- OS: Windows 10 or higher, 64-bit
- Processor: Intel Core i5 10th Generation class
- Memory: 4 GB RAM
- Graphics: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 Ti class
- DirectX: Version 11
- Storage: 2 GB available space
Recommended (Steam)
The public recommended block currently emphasises DirectX 12 without reprinting a full second CPU/GPU table. That is an incomplete-looking store row, not an excuse for this wiki to invent a 4070. When Randwerk publishes a fuller recommended line, it belongs here.
Potato, Deck, and Linux
Store feature bullets say the game is multi-input (mouse, keyboard, controller, touchscreen) and “ready-for-potato,” with art meant to stay readable on small screens. That is design intent. The 1660 Ti class minimum is still a 1660 Ti class minimum. Integrated graphics from an office CPU are a maybe, not a marketing slogan you should trust with a wishlist speech.
GamingOnLinux ran the demo under Proton 10 and liked it. That is one outlet’s session. Watch Steam’s own Deck reports as they appear. This wiki will not stamp “Verified” on a game that has not earned the badge in a source we can cite.
What to turn down first
If a fire-mage screen melts the frame rate, drop effects before resolution. The silhouette language of Wanderburg still works at modest internal resolution because the joke is shape, not pores. VSync and unlimited fire particles are how a minimum GPU starts sounding like a vacuum castle.
Controller users should confirm rumble and deadzones after a driver update. Keyboard users should pick either WASD or click-to-move, not both. See controls.
Disk, installs, and the demo
2 GB is the published disk line. Demos can be smaller. Leave headroom for Steam shader cache anyway. Uninstalling the demo before Early Access is optional; just do not assume unlocks migrate. That warning lives on demo notes.
Accessibility and input
Steam lists full controller support and a handful of accessibility flags. The important mechanical choice is still the four-button kit. If you need remaps, do them before a boss, not during one. The loadout checklist has a line for your binds on purpose.
If you cannot hit the minimum, play the demo first and believe your fps counter. Trailers lie in both directions.
When 8 September 2026 publishes a new table, replace this page the same day. Until then, this is the whole spec story we can source.
If you are buying a handheld for this game alone, wait for live Deck reports instead of a trailer on a phone. Cartoon silhouettes help, but a 1660-class floor still implies discrete GPU habits. Try the demo on the machine you already own. That hour is cheaper than a wishlist speech to a laptop that hitch-stops every fire circle. The demo notes page is the client history; this page is only the hardware door.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common Wanderburg questions.
Can Wanderburg run on 4 GB of RAM?
That is the published Steam minimum. Close the browser zoo anyway. Minimums are not comfort.
Is there a Steam Deck rating?
Do not trust a wiki-invented badge. Check the Steam Deck tab on the store page.
Does it run on Linux?
The demo has been played via Proton 10 in public coverage. Official support is the Windows Steam SKU.
Will specs change in Early Access?
They might. Re-read the Steam block on 8 September 2026.
