Wanderburg Crew and Artifacts
The quiet shop rows that decide whether a ram build lives.
Captains get the portraits. Modules get the explosions. Crew and artifacts get you out of the grasslands alive. This page lists the support pieces demo creators actually read off the shop and the draft screen. It is not a complete item codex. If a relic in your client is unnamed here, describe its sentence on Discord and keep playing; do not wait for a wiki row.
Stack this with captains and modules. Spend with the loadout checklist open.
Repair and health crews
Carpenters and repair teams slowly return health. Some crews raise health gained from repairs. Health-stacking videos treat uncommon and rare repair crews as the difference between a ram joke and a ram career. If your captain already heals on consume, repair is still useful because bosses are not a buffet you can lick on command. See how to beat bosses for why standing still to heal is still a way to die.
A separate comment in longform footage mentions a health crew on the roof literally hammering away. That is the fantasy. In practice it is a passive. You still have to drive.
Gold crews and sheep rules
Crew that generate gold over time exist for people who plan to live. They are slow. They hate short coward runs unless you already print gold some other way. Artifacts that grant extra gold per consumed sheep are the opposite: they want you in pasture. If you take sheep gold, stop diving barracks like a hero. How to grow your castle is the routing page for that choice.
A magnet-style pickup that sucks nearby gold appears in at least one battle-simulator-style video. That is an in-run convenience, not a reason to ignore larger forts sitting on the same pile.
Second chances and panic speed
Playtest shops include a relic that refuses a death and returns you with a slice of health (creators quote 30%). That is an extra mistake, not a build. Take it if you are learning controls. Replace it later with something that wins fights.
“Become faster when low on health” is the cousin. It is useless if you never drop that low and lethal if you do it on purpose in front of a vacuum castle. Cannon knockback is usually the better “keep things off my bumper” pick.
Draft multipliers
“Next artifact is two times stronger” shows up constantly. It is a gamble on the next chest, not a present. Take it when you can see another hut. Skip it when you are about to fight a roller with empty slots.
Burn-spread (burning enemies ignite each other on touch) is a fire-mage multiplier. Melee-damage-from-speed is a ram-boost multiplier. Magic-damage extras belong to wizards. The artifact is not a third identity. It is a louder version of the one you already have. Best builds calls out the pairs.
Fuel-max cooldown reset is for people who actually let nitro refill. If you live with the tank empty, the relic never talks to you.
Tree-to-nitro consume rules want you to clip forests. They are biome-sensitive. They will matter more when maps are not only grass. See biomes.
Shop order that does not feel greedy
Buy a repair or gold crew after your first captain and first extra module. Buy a second-chance relic only if you are still bouncing off steamrollers. Buy draft multipliers when you already like your four buttons. The demo walkthrough spending plan is still the right shape: learn, spend, identity.
Early Access on 8 September 2026 will add more rows. We will not invent them tonight.
The video in the middle of this page is a first-look that lingers on the loadout screen: vehicle, captain, crew, module, artifact. Pause on the shop. That pause is this entire article.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common Wanderburg questions.
Do I need an artifact to start a run?
Not always. Some screens show an artifact slot empty. A clean kit is better than a relic you cannot explain.
What crew should I buy first?
Repair if you die to chip damage. Gold-over-time if you survive long enough to cash it. Sheep gold if you actually farm flocks.
Are artifacts lost on death?
Shop unlocks persist. The artifact you take into a given run is a loadout choice, like a captain.
Where do I see the full list in-game?
The between-run shop and the pre-run loadout screen. This wiki only lists names we can source. Compare with your client.
