Wanderburg Roadmap
What Randwerk has dated, and what is still a store paragraph.
This page is the calendar-and-intent list so news can stay a timeline and Early Access can stay a launch-morning brief. Nothing here is a 1.0 promise. Steam’s own Early Access questionnaire is the primary source for duration and scope.
Dated
- 8 September 2026 — Early Access on Steam PC. Announced in the 26 August 2026 community post and shown in the Future Games Show date trailer (embedded below).
- Demo — public since Steam Next Fest in February 2026. A 6 March 2026 post said the demo was staying online after the fest. Check Steam if that tile ever moves.
- Gamescom 2026 — Randwerk showed the game in Cologne; coverage described a Most Entertaining award/nomination moment. That is colour, not a patch.
Until 8 September, the truthful verb is scheduled. If the widget moves, the widget wins.
How long Early Access is supposed to last
Steam’s questionnaire, in the store copy we last read, says Randwerk currently expects Wanderburg to stay in Early Access for around six to twelve months, subject to development and player feedback. That is their number. It is not a 1.0 date. Do not write December 2026 or June 2027 as fact.
Why EA exists, in their words: they want to see which builds players love, break, or devour the game with. That is why this wiki’s module tier list is labelled opinion.
Content they say they want to grow
The same questionnaire: the game is fully playable with a core loop across multiple biomes and difficulty levels. Interviews earlier in development talked about aiming for three biomes and three player vehicles at the EA cut. Desert footage (walking forts, Rusty Knight) is the public extra floor. See biomes and vehicles.
Full-version-versus-EA language is vague on purpose in the store: more content, variety, polish, and balance from community feedback. We will not invent a raid, a battle pass, or a mobile SKU.
Localisation they announced
An April 2026 Sidekick press note around INDIE Live Expo Asia said the Summer EA release would include Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, Japanese, and Korean localisation, on top of the European interface languages already listed on Steam (English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, and more). This fan wiki still ships English, German, French, and Spanish only. The game client can be wider than the wiki.
Wishlists and demo scale (studio-reported)
The same April press cited over 400,000 wishlists and 300,000+ demo players. Later studio posts around Next Fest talked about 200,000 demo players and a high ranking among that event’s demos. Treat all of those as snapshots. They move. They are not a review score.
What this wiki will add after 8 September
- Actual biome select, not a trailer.
- Actual vehicle count on the loadout screen.
- Whether ram still looks overtuned.
- Whether desert legs scramble grasslands recipes.
Until then, practise the demo walkthrough and keep gold habits from getting started. The date trailer in the middle of this page is one minute of confirmation, not a new mechanic.
