Wanderburg Early Access
Scheduled for 8 September 2026 on Steam.
Randwerk and Sidekick Publishing have dated Wanderburg Early Access to 8 September 2026 on PC via Steam. That is a scheduled window, not a review score, and not a 1.0. This page is the pre-launch brief: what the store promises, what interviews promised, and what you can already practise in the demo.
If you want to play tonight, the demo walkthrough is the useful article. If you want the trailer energy, the reveal clip sits in the middle of this page.
What Early Access is supposed to contain
Store text describes a fully playable core loop: roll through biomes, consume villages and forts, experiment with builds, multiple difficulty levels. The Steam Early Access questionnaire currently expects the game to stay in Early Access for around six to twelve months. That is not a 1.0 date. Details live on the roadmap. Interviews around Gamescom said the team wanted three biomes and three player vehicles for the Early Access cut, versus a single player vehicle in the version they were showing. Desert footage later confirmed at least one extra floor with walking forts and the Rusty Knight. See biomes.
Unlockable captains, modules, crew, artifacts, and vehicles remain the meta layer. That layer already exists in miniature in the demo shop. Early Access is supposed to widen it, not invent the idea.
What it is not
It is not a live-service with group raids. Steam lists single-player. This wiki will not hint at a hidden four-player siege. It is not a story campaign with chapter select. It is not confirmed for consoles on this page; the dated SKU is Steam PC.
Price has not been treated as a stable public figure here. Read the Steam purchase block on the day. We will not invent a number to look complete.
How to prepare in the last days before 8 September
- Finish the getting started habits: eat small, flee large, bank gold.
- Bind controls on the device you will actually use in September.
- Unlock a captain sentence and a module sentence from captains and modules.
- Write a build on the loadout checklist.
- Skim system requirements so a GTX 1660-class warning is not a surprise.
Demo progress may or may not carry. Randwerk has not been quoted here with a hard migration promise. Keep the skill. Treat the save as mortal.
How we will treat launch week
When the build goes live, this page should gain: a confirmation of biomes actually selectable, vehicle count, whether ram still looks broken, and whether desert legs scramble the module tier list. Until those facts exist, we will not write them.
Follow Steam news and the Discord on official links. Ignore anyone selling “day-one codes.” Wanderburg is a paid Steam game, not a mobile gift-code loop.
If the date moves, Steam wins. Come back here after you confirm the store widget, not after a rumour thumbnail.
A last practical note for launch morning: update the client, re-check system requirements, and do not rebuild your entire personality in the shop before one grasslands loop. New biomes will tempt a desert-first speech. Finish a sentence you already know, then take that sentence into sand. The loadout checklist is the launch-morning page. This article is only the calendar.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common Wanderburg questions.
Is Wanderburg out today?
The dated Early Access window is 8 September 2026. A demo is playable before that. This page will not say the full build is live until it is.
Will there be multiplayer in Early Access?
Official materials list single-player. Do not expect a hidden online mode.
What platforms are dated?
PC via Steam. Other platforms are not part of this dated announcement.
Should I wait for 1.0?
That is a taste question. The demo is the honest try-before-you-buy. 1.0 has no public date here.
